MAHAPREIT START-UP KNOWLEDGE CENTRE (MSKC)

under Registration No: (334/2022) dated 17^th February 2022, was set up as a society and the same is registered with the office of Registrar of the Societies under the provisions of the Societies Registration Act, 1860. The area of work of MSKC will extend to National Region (all India).

The corporate address of MSKC is “MAHAPREIT office, Pinnacle Corporate Park, 3^rd Floor, Near Trade Center BKC, Opp MMRDA ground, Mumbai – 400051”

The main objectives of the Society are:

·      Work on educational training, Research & Management including related industries to MAHAPREIT and MPBCDC and all Science and Technology relevant Fields so as to achieve the objectives of MAHAPREIT and MPBCDC.

·      Work for bringing in sustainable development, with asset creation, Employment, and revenue Generation by taking steps for skill development and start-up promotion activities, especially for weaker sections as mandated by the Memorandum of Association of the Mahatma Phule Backward Class Development Corporation Ltd (MPBCDC) and /or Mahatma Phule Renewable Energy and Infrastructure Technology Ltd (MAHAPREIT) Company,

·      Promoting gender equality, environmental and climate change having paradigms of inclusive growth and sustainability including any emerging and new or innovative technology areas and their validation, POC (Proof of concept), and scaling up technologies.

·      Reach unserved, under-served, backward, and unreached areas through “Target project” mode.

·      Work for the upliftment of weaker sections of society especially backward-class women folk and improve their livelihood and their economic status.

·      Work for such projects to provide basic necessities to target sections of society by imparting necessary training and skill upgradation to enable target people to be self-sustainable and enable their economic upliftment.

(Note: Target People or Target Sections of the Society shall mean the Scheduled Castes, and Backward class in the State of Maharashtra as stipulated under the Memorandum of Association of MPBCDC and/or MAHAPREIT).

·      Adopt innovation, experimentation, learner evaluation, and action research for bringing improvement of functional literacy.

·      Create environment and climate change awareness among the masses and link to revenue generation activities using climate change concerns scope and activities and thereby providing employment to weaker sections.

·      Network, collaborate / Associate/ synergize resources with Institutes of eminence/ Educational and research institutes/ laboratories/ govt dept./ agencies / CPSU/PSU/ Financial Institutes/banks, Channel Partners of MAHAPREIT in such areas related to various verticals of MAHAPREIT and any government semi govt agencies to foster sustainable environment, Resolution of Climate change issues and natural resources management, disaster Management, Coastal zone management, issues and mandates of MoEF, GoI and NGT etc.

·      Provide consultancy services to public bodies/government dept/ govt./ local bodies / Educational institutes / Scientific councils in any areas as may be set up for/ Universities, professional bodies attached to any govt department/training institutes, Studies and assessment reports, Impact assessment studies, validation and certification activities, samples survey and analyzing samples data, drawing samples and drawing conclusions and recommendations, cost-benefit analysis studies, socio-economic studies and preparing Detailed Project Report, Prefeasibility Report, Project proposals and appraisals on different revenue generation and sharing models so as to create employment for target beneficiaries of  MPBCDC or MAHAPRIET and strengthen own resources of MAHAPREIT and to setup /create such Center of Excellence or such vehicle or mechanism to carry out such activities of revenue generation s mentioned in this clause.

·      Work in an integrated manner for the holistic development of rural areas by catering to the needs of Target People or Target Sections.

·      Arranging Seminars, workshops, training programs, symposia, lectures, debates, panel discussions, conferences and courses on current research topics and other topics of international, national and local interest pertaining to research, training, skill development, Entrepreneurship Development, process technologies, revenue generation activities, project proposal’s, etc and applied aspects of social and development related issues.

·      Conduct the study, research, and undertake projects in the field of urban and rural development to bring improvement in infrastructure, Environment and climate change, Transport and connectivity projects, Electric vehicles and E mobility, Green Hydrogen -storage, use and transportation, carbon Capture, HFCEV, Alternative Fuel Technologies, and Biofuels and such issues.

·      Provide technical guidance to an individual or agency or any department or vertical of MAHAPREIT AND MPBCDC for promoting the aim and objectives of the society

·      Develop the database, maps, web pages, and other online instruments that will promote the objectives of society.

·      Establish, contribute to, maintain, takeover, and or promote institutions that carry on study, research or collections of data in the various branches of science, technology, environment and renewable and clean energy.

·      Establish, run and manage schools, colleges, educational institutions and to organize technical & vocational education with help and aid from the Govt. agencies. Institutions, societies, trusts, etc., and for the said purpose establish institutions, computer centers at villages, districts, state at all India level.

·      Provide medical facilities to the target groups of the company and run and maintain hospitals.

·      Establish or take over management of and manage institutions including for training to individuals as decided from time to time by the GOVERNING COUNCIL and the indigent to prepare them for jobs in business or industry and or for starting business or industry.

·      Undertake activities in co-operation with any individual, society, association or trust for all or any of the purpose of the society.

·      Promote education, including special education and employment enhancing vocation skills especially among children, women, elderly, and the differently-abled and livelihood enhancement projects.

·      Ensure environmental sustainability, ecological balance, protection of flora and fauna, animal welfare, agroforestry, conservation of natural resources and maintaining the quality of soil, air, and water including contribution to the Clean Ganga Fund set-up by the Central Government for rejuvenation of river Ganga.

·      Protect national heritage, art and culture including restoration of buildings and sites of historical importance and works of art; setting up public libraries; promotion and development of traditional art and handicrafts;

·      Provide training to promote rural sports, nationally recognized sports, paralympic sports and Olympic sports

·      Contribute to the prime minister's national relief fund or Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund (PM CARES Fund) or any other fund set up by the central govt. for socio-economic development and relief and welfare of the scheduled caste, tribes, other backward classes, minorities and women;

·      Contribute to incubators or research and development projects in the field of science, technology, engineering and medicine, funded by the Central Government or State Government or Public Sector Undertaking or any agency of the Central Government or State Government

·      Contribute or associate or join hands for partnership on mutually agreed terms to or take up works /projects from Institutes of Eminence as declared by central govt or state govt public-funded Universities; Indian Institute of Technology (IITs); National Laboratories and autonomous bodies established under Department of Atomic Energy (DAE); Department of Biotechnology (DBT); Department of Science and Technology (DST); Ministry of Agriculture, Rural development, Drinking water and sanitation, Social justice and empowerment, Animal husbandry, cooperation , Ministry of Power, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Ministry of Roads and highway, Transport and Ministry Housing and Urban affairs , Ministry of HRD and Technical educations, Ministry of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy (AYUSH); Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology of central govt or respective departments of state government of Maharashtra and any agency / entity, professional bodies or research or scientific councils incorporated or associated to or set up by theses departments and; Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR); Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), AICTE, UGC, and Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), engaged in conducting research in science, technology, engineering and medicine aimed at promoting Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

·      Undertake rural development projects clubbed with affordable housing and climate change

·      Undertake slum area development clubbed with affordable housing and climate change

(Explanation: For the purposes of this item, the term `slum area' shall mean any area declared as such by the Central Government or any State Government or any other competent authority under any law for the time being in force)

·      Undertake disaster management and risk mitigation studies and projects pertaining to such works, planning and management of zones like biodiversity zones, coastal zones, no development zones, Coast regulation zones, Coastal zone management plan studies and implementation related works and mapping of affected areas, Vulnerability studies of related infrastructures on sea coast/ land or forest areas, wildlife studies, including relief, rehabilitation and reconstruction activities.

·      Undertake activities covered under Schedule VII of the Companies Act, 2013 from time to time, so far as they are in conformity with the objects mentioned hereinabove.

·      Undertake any activity to promote/engage with or achieve aims and objectives of MAHAPREIT and/or MPBCDC company as mentioned in Memorandum of Association of MPBCDC and/or MAHAPREIT.
